Irishman’s New Show About ‘Bad Sex Stories’ Is Going To Be Hilarious

Darragh Berry

Irish YouTube star Riyadh Khalaf has only gone and landed himself a brand new slot on BBC’s Radio 1.

However, his show is certainly one of a kind and is set to really shake up the station’s schedule in 2018.

The 26-year-old from Dublin will co-host a new podcast entitled ‘Unexpected Fluids’ which will talk about times when sex goes horribly wrong.

Alongside writer and co-host Alix Fox, both presenters and guests will tell tall tales about embarrassing, real-life bad sex stories.

Khalaf said that the new show is probably going to get him in trouble along the way but that hopefully people could learn something from it.

Kind of similar to talking to your housemates or friends about a bad experience except it’s on the nation’s airwaves…

Unexpected Fluids is one of nine new podcasts that are on the way as one of the BBC’s flagship stations shakes up its content.

In a statement on the site, the BBC said that:

“Real life embarrassingly honest stories about when sex goes wrong. Each show is themed, with guests and presenters kicking things off with a story on that theme. Telling these stories will be cringey, comic and maybe even a little cathartic.

“Hosts Alix Fox (sex writer, contributor on Modern Mann and Close Encounters) and vlogger and broadcaster Riyadh Khalaf (whose mum read his Grindr messages to his 340K+ Youtube subscribers) are known for honest, funny discussions across the spectrum of sex, gender and sexuality, making this uniquely engaging for young audiences exploring their own identity.”

Khalaf just can’t wait to get started either:

“I’m super excited to work on a daring podcast with a team I’ve admired for years at BBC Radio 1. It’s going to be shocking, it’s going to be funny and you might just learn something by accident! Listening to it is going to be like talking to your best mate about awful, crazy, one night stands.

“I’m dying to get in studio with Alix – the two of us have become like a pair of oversharing siblings trying to out-shock each other. I can’t wait to dive deep into the wonderful wet world of unexpected fluids!”

The podcast is available for download from Monday, February 19 and is also one of two hour-long shows that will broadcast weekly from Thursday, February 22 at 3am.
