The Tommy Tiernan Show returned last night with another stacked line-up of guests - including Irish author, activist and all-round legend Sinéad Burke, who many viewers have described as a "national treasure".
Speaking to Tommy about her childhood and a choice that was put to her on whether to have limb lengthening surgery or not, Sinéad explained a little bit about what such a surgery would entail. Potentially giving her an additional three to six inches in height, the Dublin woman said that she knew - even at 11 years of age - how big a difference that could make to her life.
"I knew that six inches in height could really make a difference. I might be able to reach the light switches... I remember just thinking, you know what, we can change the height of light switches, we shouldn't be changing people."

Describing Burke as "a total inspiration", it's clear that people have nothing but good things to say about her.
