This Moment On Love Island Received A Staggering 650 Complaints In Less Than One Day

Ofcom has confirmed that it has received 650 complaints following Sunday night’s episode of Love Island.

The lads and girls have been split into two different villas where six new recruits of the opposite sex joined them.

This meant that Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham were forced to live in two different houses and Jack was taken aback when he found out that one of the new girls he would be living with was his ex.

Dani was then shown a video of his reaction when his ex arrived into the other villa.

Although the footage only showed Jack saying ‘Oh my God’ and didn’t imply anything had happened or was going to happen, understandably she was left very worried and upset.

She said after that:

“It always happens to me, as soon as I’m happy with someone, something happens to me, it’s like I’m not allowed to be happy.

“Imagine it’s some girl that he’s been recently seeing, he clearly has feelings if he was seeing her and now she’s in here.

“I knew it was too good to be true.”

The complaints felt that the video had caused unnecessary distress to Dani and said that “mental health should come before entertainment.”

Another person said ITV had made it “look like something it wasn’t. These are only young people after all.”

An Ofcom spokeswoman said that: “We are considering these complaints against our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
