The new Pillow Queens video has us more buzzed than ever for live gigs

Fiona Frawley

The new video for one of the band’s most iconic songs was released yesterday.

If you’re a Pillow Queens fan, you’ve probably spent the last eighteen months dreaming of belting out “I’m not a rat, if you’re not a rat, a rat, a rat, a raaaaaat” from the front row of a sweaty venue.

And their new music video for the beloved banger will have you craving that even more.

To celebrate the Queens recent signing to Royal Mountain Records they’ve released a rerecorded version of Rats along with a new music video. At this point I’ll stop my yapping and just let you sit back and enjoy:

It’s got everything we’ve been missing – pints indoors, a lit to bits gig and a make out sesh in a pub kitchen. We’ve all been there.

Pillow Queens are about to jet off on an EU/UK tour starting off with a show in Berlin tomorrow night, after easing back into live performance with sold out gigs in Limerick and at Soft Nights in Navan over the summer. As it stands, all their upcoming Irish dates are sold out but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more gig announcements or tickets released. In the meantime, just watch the video on repeat and get yourself hyped up for the impending return of nights out, live music and shifting. You deserve it.
