The Crown is one of Netflix’s biggest success stories and fans are very much looking forward to the release of series three.
The historical drama, which tells the story of the Royal Family from the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, is set to go on for six series in total with the cast being replaced after every two.
Claire Foy will now pass the candle of playing the monarch over to Olivia Colman, of Broadchurch and Peep Show fame, and a first look picture was released today.

Reports suggest that The Crown series three will be released some time in 2019.
