After the release of the popular Madeleine McCann documentary in 2019, there is another one to watch.

The new documentary takes a deep dive into the disappearance of the three-year-old in 2007 and shines a light on Christian Brückner, a German man who was announced as the prime suspect in the case last year, 13 years after Madeleine went missing.

Madeleine was last seen in the holiday apartment her family had rented in a Praia da Luz resort in Portugal.

Prime Suspect: The Madeleine McCann Case takes a look at Christian’s background, his previous convictions and the reasons he was named as the prime suspect. It will be told in three parts and will examine how the man can be linked to the infamous case.

The new Madeleine McCann documentary shows producers interview friends of the suspect, an ex-girlfriend and key figures in the case, such as the suspect’s defence counsel, the German prosecutor and the former lead investigator on the case.

Brückner is currently serving a prison sentence for raping a 72-year-old woman in Praia da Luz. Christian B has not yet been charged for any crimes related to the Madeleine McCann case.

Prime Suspect: The Madeleine McCann Case is available to stream on Discovery+ now. It has not yet been confirmed if the documentary series will become available on other streaming platforms.
