Including a screen that is ALL electric recliner seats!
Now that cinemas are slowly but surely reopening around the country, with more and more new movies arriving each week – including five new releases this week alone! – it is great to be finally, properly reunited with the big screen!
In continued good news for the movie going public, Kerry locals and visitors will be happy to hear that Omniplex are opening a brand-new five-screen cinema in Killarney this weekend.
The screens will come equipped with the latest Barco LASER projection technology… we’re not entirely sure what that is, but we’ve asked around and apparently it is cutting edge tech to make the images on screen even clearer and more dynamic than usual.
Additionally, one of the screens is a MAXX RECLINE screen, which means every single seat in that particular screen is an electric recliner. Lush!
The new cinema is creating 25 new full and part-time jobs, and will still operate under particular safety measures for customers, including in-cinema seat separation, limited screening capacity, and increased cleaning times between screenings.
The cinema has opened from today (Friday, 30 July), and customers can go and check out Space Jam: A New Legacy, Black Widow, Spirit Untamed, The Suicide Squad, The Croods 2: A New Age and Fast & Furious 9 there this weekend.
