PICS: This Stag Party Made Up For Missing Ted Fest In The Best Way Ever

Sarah

Irish stag parties are known for being absolutely great craic – and when you throw in a bit of Father Ted to the mix you know you’ve got a pretty fantastic group.

One stag party took their love of all things Father Ted allllll the way to the top of Croagh Patrick yesterday and it’s feckin gas.

The bunch of lads braved the Mayo wind to trek up the iconic mountain as part of their stag party event, and jaysis did they do it in style.

Troy McNamara posted the pics on Twitter of the group’s devout journey up the mountain and we’d say people were in stitches watching them walk past.

Yes, that is a man dressed as Jesus carrying a wooden cross.

Yep, there’s Father Hernandez and Bishop Brennan.

Troy told us that they group of mates missed out on going to Ted Fest this year, so decided to climb Croagh Patrick in all their priestly glory this weekend instead.

Jesus (groom to be) and his Father Ted disciples took off on the groom’s last ever pilgrimage as a single man. And what a legendary pilgrimage it was.

It looks like there was about 14 or so of them setting off, and an impressive half made it all the way to the summit.

They all made it down safe and sound, and we’re betting they were pretty thirsty after all that exertion – here’s hoping their costumes got the lads a free drink or two in the local.
