Every nation has one book that's had more of an influence than any other and this map aims to reveal the top work of literature for each country in the world.

Redditer Backforward24 set out on an ambitious project to identify the books that have had the most profound effect on their mother countries and has used feedback from other users of the online forum to perfect his graphic.

The illustration names Ireland's most influential book as Ulysses by James Joyce, Britain's is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, and the US' is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
