PlayStation Ireland confirm there are more PS5s coming before the end of the year

A high demand for the most sought after Christmas present of the year.

Initially released in Ireland on Thursday, November 19, the PlayStation 5 has made quite a splash since its arrival. The fantastic new console (our review here) is arguably the most sought after Christmas present this year, and due to that incredibly high demand, many gamers missed out of getting one during the first batch of pre-orders and sales.

However, anyone worried that it might mean they won’t be getting their hands on one at all in 2020 will be happy to hear that there are more due to arrive before the year is out.

In a statement on social media, PlayStation Ireland said the following:

“We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever. Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year – please stay in touch with your local retailers.”

So while there is no set date or time as to when stocks might be replenished, make sure you keep an eye on retailers in the coming days and weeks.

In the meantime, PlayStation Ireland have also announced their Black Friday sales (which includes games for the PS4 and PS5), which you can check out right here.

And you can also check out our list of five games you have to play when you do set up your brand new PS5 this Christmas.
