It’s been a long, enjoyable summer but it’s time to face facts: autumn has arrived.
Nothing announces the end of the sunny season like the return of The Late Late Show and Ryan Tubridy will be back on our screens on RTÉ One from 9.35pm tonight.
But it’s not all bad, as the team are bringing out the big guns for the first show of the season, with Hollywood stars Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan due to appear to talk about their new World War II movie Anthropoid.
Unsurprisingly, Ireland’s Olympic journey will be the main focus for tonight’s show.
Silver medallist Annalise Murphy will discuss her amazing performance in the Laser Rodial Sailing competition, while the much-loved Paul and Gary O’Donovan will be on the couch to talk through their silver medal achievement in Lightweight Double Sculls.
Michael Conlon, who sparked a global debate after losing out to Russian Vladamir Nikitin, will also join Ryan to talk about his controversial post-fight interview.
Minister for Sport Shane Ross is also expected to be appear to talk about the arrest of OCI President Pat Hickey in Rio.
Looks like we’ll be staying in so.
