The Second Series Of ‘Can’t Cope Won’t Cope’ Starts On RTÉ Tonight

James Fenton

In 2016, comedy-drama Can’t Cope Won’t Cope hit Irish screens for the first time to much fanfare. The series followed the exploits of Cork girls Aisling and Danielle who were having to cope (or not cope as the case may be) with their new lives living in Dublin.

The six-episode run received fairly positive reviews for its depiction of millennial Irish life and tonight the show returns for series two, giving audiences a chance to catch up with the girls and see how they’re getting on. Not very well as it happens, as Aisling is back in Mallow living with her mother and Danielle is off in Vancouver avoiding all contact with her former bessie.

Can’t Cope Won’t Cope is the brainchild of writer Stefanie Preissner and stars Seána Kerslake and Nika McGuigan in the leading roles. The second series gets underway on RTÉ 2 tonight at 9.30pm.
