There’s An Irish Zombie Movie Coming Out And It Looks Absolutely Whopper

Sarah

If you’ve been thinking lately that y’know what, there just hasn’t been a good old fashioned scary zombie movie of late (what are you, a monster?) then don’t fret, lover of the undead.

A new Irish zombie flick will be hitting cinemas in February and starts A-listers Ellen Page, Sam Keeley and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.

Directed by David Freyne, Hollywood Reporter’s review of The Cured said that there’s “classic jump-out-of-your-seat moments that rely a lot on heavy sound effects, but they manage to be effective, building toward an explosive third act that brings the pain in the manner of 28 Days and other stalwarts of the genre.”

Even the trailer has us on the edge of our seats…

What happens when the undead return to life? In a world ravaged for years by a virus that turns the infected into zombie-like cannibals, a cure is at last found and the wrenching process of reintegrating the survivors back into society begins…

The Cured will be released in Irish cinemas in February. Valentine’s date night idea?
