Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban – RTE One – 6.35pm

Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their third year of study, where they delve into the mystery surrounding an escaped prisoner (Gary Oldman) who poses a dangerous threat to the young wizard.

Bridesmaids – RTE Two – 9pm

Competition between the maid of honour (Kristen Wiig) and a bridesmaid (Rose Byrne), over who is the bride’s (Maya Rudolph) best friend, threatens to upend the life of an out-of-work pastry chef.

Step Brothers – ITV4 – 9pm

Two aimless middle-aged losers (Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly) still living at home are forced against their will to become roommates when their parents marry.

The Social Network – E! Entertainment – 9pm

As Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, he is sued by the twins (Armie Hammer) who claimed he stole their idea, and by the co-founder (Andrew Garfield) who was later squeezed out of the business.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard – Channel 4 – 9pm

The world’s top bodyguard (Ryan Reynolds) gets a new client, a hitman (Samuel L. Jackson) who must testify at the International Criminal Court. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time.

In 2002, an artistically inclined seventeen-year-old girl (Saoirse Ronan) comes of age in Sacramento, California.

Crank – ITV4 – 11.05pm

Professional assassin Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) learns his rival has injected him with a poison that will kill him if his heart rate drops.

Split – FilmFour – 11.15pm

Three girls are kidnapped by a man (James McAvoy) with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities. They must try to escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.

What Lies Beneath – RTE One – 11.50pm

The wife (Michelle Pfeiffer) of a university research scientist (Harrison Ford) believes that her lakeside Vermont home is haunted by a ghost – or that she is losing her mind.


The Mask – Comedy Central – 7pm

Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is transformed into a manic superhero when he wears a mysterious mask.

Skyscraper – FilmFour – 9pm

A security expert (Dwayne Johnson) must infiltrate a burning skyscraper, 225 stories above ground, when his family is trapped inside by criminals.

Mary Queen of Scots – RTE One – 9.30pm

Mary Stuart’s (Saoirse Ronan) attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I (Margot Robbie), Queen of England, finds her condemned to years of imprisonment before facing execution.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping – FilmFour – 11.05pm

When it becomes clear that his solo album is a failure, a former boy band member (Andy Samberg) does everything in his power to maintain his celebrity status.

The Revenant – ITV4 – 11.45pm

A frontiersman (Leonardo Di Caprio) on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team (including Tom Hardy).

This Is England – Channel 4 – 12.00am

A young boy (Thomas Turgoose) becomes friends with a gang of skinheads. Friends soon become like family, and relationships will be pushed to the very limit.
