The 1978 original starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Still stands up as one of the best scary movies of all time.

Poltergeist – BBC Two – 11.10pm

The 1982 original, with a family moving into a new home, only to discover that it has been built on a graveyard. Soon their young daughter disappears into the TV, and the ghosts have no intention of letting her go.

The Ring – BBC One – 12.35pm

Naomi Watts is the journalist looking into a group of teens found dead, and how the deaths seem to take place exactly seven days after watching a specific video tape.

Poltergeist – RTE Two – 1am

The 2015 remake has the exact same plot, but with up to date special effects, and Sam Rockwell as the likeable dad.
