These are the six best movies on TV this Sunday night

Well, we’ve made it to the last day of January and it has been a struggle. Time to unwind with some Sunday night movies on TV, don’t ya think?

Tonight’s offering of movies on TV is a nice blend of comedy, action and heartbreak and you’re sure to find what you need to ease you out of weekend mode and into the next week.

Here’s a selection of some of the best movies on TV tonight…

Shrek The Third – E4 – 7.10pm

The third instalment of the animated film series sees a reluctant Shrek facing the prospect of ruling the kingdom of Far Far Away.

American Pie: Reunion – Comedy Central – 9pm

At this stage, the American Pie series had gotten a little tired. Still, it should provide some light-hearted pre-bedtime fare of a Sunday night.

The Bourne Supremacy – RTÉ 2 – 9pm

Dalkey’s very own Matt Damon stars in the second offering from the Bourne action series.

The Shanghai Job – SyFy – 9pm

A 2017 thriller that features Orlando Bloom as a a security agent who must escort a valuable antique out of Shanghai.

The Break-Up – Comedy Central – 11.20pm

Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston star in this 2006 romcom that’s more like an anti-romcom. If you’ve ever ended a long-term relationship, you’ll relate.

The Bling Ring – BBC One – 12.15am

A group of teenage girls use the internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts in order to rob their homes. Based on the real-life Bling Ring who were active in California in the late-2000s and whose victims reportedly included Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan among others.
