This Guy Travels The World Taking Photos Of Red Heads

We have our fair share of red heads here in Ireland with an above average proportion compared to global norms so we know all about their striking looks.

One American photographer has just finished traveling the world on an ambitious project to photograph 130 redheads and he is turning the project into a book. 

In his own words…

My name is Brian Dowling and I am an American entertainment photographer working for Getty Images in Los Angeles and Berlin.

For the past three years, I have been photographing redheads around the world for my project “Redhead Beauty.”  I wanted these images to show the natural beauty of women with red hair from almost 20 countries.  This project was done without make up artists, special lighting, and excessive Photoshop. I wanted it to be obvious these photos are real reflections of the model and for people to end their stereotypes of redheads. 

With less than 1% of the world’s population having red hair this project is going to appeal. You can follow him on Instagram here.
