Here’s What’s New To Netflix This Weekend

Sharron

If a cosy weekend in is on the cards, then our friends over at Netflix have you covered.

They have loads new to the site this week including a powerful Lady Gaga documentary and a gas series following comedian Jack Whitehall and his dad as they embark on a trip to Asia.

Gaga: Five Foot Two

We’ve been waiting a long time for this Netflix original documentary.

Gaga: Five Foot Two is a raw, unfiltered look into the popstar’s life. It gives viewers complete behind-the-scenes access. It’ll take you through major moments in her life including the recording of her 2016 album Joanne, her dealing with physical pain and it even brings you into the more ordinary side of her life like attending a family christening and visiting her grandmother.

Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father

If a laugh on the couch is what you’re after, this is it!

Comedian Jack Whitehall embarks on a gap year – with his dad, Michael. The pair of them set off on an adventure of South East Asia. The two of them home to strengthen their father-son bond by partaking in a series of adventures, mishaps and escapades with two very different perspectives.

The Good Place

This comedy is produced by the same guy who did Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Recreation so you know you’re onto a good one.

It follows Eleanor Shellstrop, played by Kristen Bell, who enters the afterlife and is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place, which is definitely a major mistake. She’s determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or, at least, the pretty good) person within.

The Bad Batch

This film, starring Keanu Reeves, follows Arlen who’s abandoned in a Texas wasteland and is cut off from civilization. If that wasn’t bad enough, she’s captured by a savage band of cannibals led by the mysterious Miami Man. As she adjusts to life in the bad batch, Arlen discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who’s standing next to you.

Spectre

This 2015 Bond film starring Daniel Craig sends Bond on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation after he receives a cryptic message from his past. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth.
