This is becoming a serious problem.
Time was you’d try to get into The Late Late Show audience to hear scintillating interviews between the host and other RTÉ employees or perhaps a sheep farmer from Louth, but now it seems the lucky few who manage to bag seats to the show only want to blaggard.
What has this institution of Irish television come to when its supposed biggest fans only show up so they can pull funny faces and dab for the folks at home.
While Ryan Tubridy was wrapping up his chat with golfer Padraig Harrington last night, this lad in the crowd thought that he was a right cool dude by giving a big dirty wink to the camera as it alighted on him for a couple seconds…

In fairness to The Late Late cameramen, their reaction times seem to be improving when it comes to this sort of unexpected audience participation.
