The documentary on Maura Higgins that was scheduled for Thursday night will no longer be airing.

Both Maura Higgins and her mother, Sharon, had been promoting the documentary as recently as yesterday but the decision was made to pull the programme from broadcast.

The documentary focuses on Maura’s training for an extreme obstacle course and is expected to be rescheduled for a later date.

On Wednesday evening, Sharon Higgins wrote on Instagram: “So sorry folks! Looks like listings have changed for Virgin Media Two tomorrow night.

“Unfortunately looks like we will have to wait a little longer for Maura’s show. Hopefully we will see it soon. Don’t know why they changed it.”

The Virgin Media Two listings have indeed changed, with Thelma’s Big Irish Communions now scheduled to air at 10pm.

The reason for the rescheduling has not been confirmed.

A Virgin Media spokesperson told Lovin.ie: “ITV pulled it from broadcast and we are awaiting confirmation of a new date.”

Maura, who rose to fame on last summer’s series of Love Island, became the most recent competitor to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice last Sunday.

The Longford woman couldn’t hold back her tears when she found out that she didn’t get through to the next round of the ITV show after a skate-off against Libby Clegg.
