Yurt City festival

Yurt City will return for a second run this summer.

Following on from its debut success last year, Yurt City will return to Co. Offaly for a second run this August… even extending to a two-day camping festival.

Curated by DJ duo Boots & Kats, the boutique intimate gathering gives music fans the chance to witness some of the hottest international and Irish DJs, artists, performers and producers.

Nestled within the ancient oak woods at Charleville Demesne in Tullamore, the festival is set around a medieval courtyard. Festival-goers can stay in beautiful traditional Mongolian Yurts and unwind in the dedicated chill-out spots.

Highlights include the comedy stage as well as a range of wellness activities. Not to mention the Food Village that will serve up tasty menus and a wide variety of different drink options.

Boots & Kats will headline at this year’s festival. Characterised for their choice of disco and funk, they’ll be joined by New Zealand brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales who form Chaos in the CBD.

Berlin’s Cinthie will also be on the line-up, one of the most revered and respected figures in contemporary electronic music.

Other acts set to take to the stage include Munich duo COEO, Armand Jakobsson also known as DJ Seinfeld, Glaswegian DJ La La, Yasmin Gardezi and Reboot DJs. Along with Galway native Shampain, one of Ireland’s youngest and most exciting DJs slowly carving a respected name for himself.

Expanding to a two-day camping festival, there will be two campsites – general and boutique camping. The boutique campsite will be kitted out with 4 and 5 metre pre-pitched Bell Tents and Emperor Tents; each accommodating 4-6 people.

Yurt City will take place Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th.  Tickets on sale now.
