Yes campaigners during the lead up to Friday’s referendum had to respond to many concerns – some valid, some misinformation – about the proposed abortion regulations for a Yes vote.
One lady, none other than former Supreme Court Judge Catherine McGuinness who was interviewed by Miriam O’Callaghan at Dublin Castle as she waited for the official results to come in clearly wasn’t having any of the lines often stated by the No side that Ireland was following England with too liberal abortion laws.
Like, she was having none of it.
“It annoyed me that people said we would be like England, why should we be like England? Sure we resisted them for 700 years.”
This lady clearly doesn’t take any shit – g’wan!
