This Cork Bus Driver’s Random Act Of Kindness Will Warm Your Heart

RebeccaL

It’s stories like this that’d melt your heart.

Cork woman Fiona Carolan took to Facebook this week to tell the world about a random act of kindness shown to her father.

Fiona recounted getting a phone call from an unknown number two days ago. When she picked up the phone, she spoke to a stranger who was waiting with her dad at the EMC in Ovens, a small village in Cork.

Her dad, who has dementia, was disoriented and a long way from home, so the man promised to wait with him until Fiona could come and pick him up.

What Fiona didn’t realise was that the man was a Bus Éireann driver, who “went out of his way” to help her dad, possibly delaying his route.

She took to Facebook to thank Gabor, the driver of the 220 route and has since racked up more than 56,000 likes on her post.

Just goes to show that a little bit of kindness goes a long way.
