Here comes the bride… on a bleedin’ tractor.
Aisling McCarey from Co. Monaghan realised her lifelong dream on January 4 arriving at her wedding by getting behind the wheel of a Massey Ferguson.
According to the Irish Post, tractors played a big part in getting Aisling together with her new husband Mark Graham in the first place. Nine years ago Mark was transporting hay on the M50 by tractor when a mutual friend passed his number onto Aisling and suggested she call him to get a lift. The rest is history.
The unusual journey is something Aisling has always wanted to undertake as she explained:
I wanted to drive a tractor on my wedding day since I was a wee tot. I’m from a farming background so I’ve driven tractors since I was young

She even let her dad ride shotgun. Bless.
If you know of a more unorthodox method of arriving at a wedding we’d love to hear it.
