Gold star to you if you can recognise Colin Farrell in the new Batman trailer. The Irish actor has undergone a huge transformation for the new movie, piling on the pounds and causing many fans to dub it the “best transformation” they’ve seen in a long time.
Movie buffs will know that there are a few actors/actresses that always get a mention when it comes to naming the best movie transformations. Christian Bale for his role in The Machinist, Matthew McConaughey as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club or Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones for example. Best add Colin Farrell to the list as he’s practically unrecognisable in the new trailer for the upcoming Batman movie.
Due for release in October 2021, Farrell will step up to the plate as movie villain The Penguin, morphing into the character thanks to some A1 prosthetics and a few extra pounds that the actor put on especially for the role. In fact, the transformation is so impressive that fans are having a hard time believing that it really is the Irish actor underneath it all.
