It’s been another incredible, if a little exhausting, week in the UEFA Champions League.
After Liverpool’s exploits on Tuesday, it was the turn of Tottenham Hotspur to come back from the dead and clinch their place in the final on June 1. The result left fans everywhere in disbelief once more, not least Virgin Media pundit and former Ireland manager Brian Kerr.
After trailing Ajax by three goals, Lucas Moura completed an improbable hat-trick, with his final goal coming in the dying seconds at the Johan Cruyff Arena. The scenes prompted Kerr to leap from his seat in the studio, shouting “get in!” and declaring the Brazilian “a little dixie,” whatever that is.
Virgin Media has made a bit of a habit of showing pundits’ reactions to big moments and all we can say is “more of this please.”
