It wouldn’t be Ireland if we couldn’t expect a little bit of everything this bank holiday!
It’s going to be a bit of a mixed bag this weekend. While there’s a Status Yellow weather warning in place tomorrow for Cork and Kerry, in other parts of the country there will be some sunny spells.
For Saturday, Met Éireann says this: “rain will spread eastwards to all areas during the afternoon and evening, turning heavy in the southwest and south with a risk of localised flooding there.” We hope we don’t see a repeat of Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin flooding on the ground floor.
Sunday will be much the same, with temperatures remaining at 12-15 degrees. The Bank Holiday Monday is expected to grow a little colder, with low temperatures of possibly 7-10 degrees.

So it seems at least there’ll be an end to the random surge of warm weather we saw earlier in the week. Or will there? It’s so hard to tell these days.
Our advice? Make sure you have an umbrella packed. And maybe a coat, and scarf. But also a bag in case you need to take off the coat and scarf.
