Wildlands is a new adventure centre in Moycullen Galway. Set to open later this week, it offers adventure, accommodation and food.

With the vast majority of Irish people looking towards staycations this year, a trip out wesht is just what the doctor ordered. Finding new and fun things to do – be that with friends or family – can sometimes be a challenge though.

Everyone knows the usual Galway must-dos (eg. walk the Salthill prom, have a pint of plain outside Neachtain’s, eat Dough Bros etc.), but if you’re looking for something a little different I reckon Wildlands will be right up your alley.

A new indoor and outdoor adventure centre, it can be found just outside the city in Moycullen (approximately 15mins from Galway city by car). Located right in the middle of a lush green forest, it’s a very calming environment with over 20 acres of woodland overlooking Ballyquirke Lough along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Offering a range of different activities, this is the place for thrill-seekers, adrenaline junkies and anyone who just really loves nature. According to their website:

“There really is something for everyone. From the aspiring Robin Hood and Katniss Everdeen seeking to hone their archery skills, to the ultimate daredevil weaving 49 feet above the ground on our Zip n Trek course.

Tickle your brain in our Crystal Maze-style Challenge Rooms, where you’ll need more than just physical skills to solve the puzzles. Conquer your fears on our eye-catching indoor fun walls. Ride a jeep through the woods. Unlock your children’s imagination in An Baile Beag or in the playground.

For something a little different, our disc golf course is waiting to be discovered, and tag archery is an adrenaline-fuelled activity to playfully test your skill and endurance as you hunt your friends through the trees!”

Set to open on August 7th, only a limited number of activities will be available initially and customers will need to pre-book their trip in advance.
