    11. Chill out in Cinemateket

Okay so when you’re dying of that hangover we gave you from bar hopping from cocktail bar to cocktail bar the night before, why not chill out and head to Cinemateket. Yeah, we know it seems like a waste of a day when you want to discover a city but trust us – this place is exactly where you want to be. It’s a real culture hub and they show all sorts of Danish and international films.

    12. You’ve GOT to go to the LEGO Emporium

Do it for your sins, do it for the love of LEGO, whatever it is this is a must. Okay well, it’s just a store, but still. It’s bigger than any other and has every bit of classical LEGO product you can think, plus the new stuff and a wide range of branded merchandise. Let your inner child out for a few hours sure!

    13. Hike to the buried lighthouse

Something unconventional and bizarre but this is like something out of a fairytale. Take a sand-filled (shoes) hike to the abandoned Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse. It’s in Jutland which is about two and a half hours away from Copenhagen but totally worth it.

    14. Do the Castles Tour

If you love castles and are seriously feeling the wanderlust while in Copenhagen, take the castles tour. Visit the picturesque region of North Zealand where you’ll see the gorgeous Kronborg Castle (the setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet) as well as seeing the Fredensborg Palace and Frederiksborg Castle. It’s a wee bit pricey (about €100 per person) but with transport and entry fees included you’d be mad to try and do this independently of the tour operator.

    15. Hang out in Nyhavn

This is the perfect place to end any day. Have a meal in any one of the superb restaurants along the canal and then grab a beer and hang your feet off quayside.
