Say no to Mental Health Stigma

September 1st marks the first day of See Change’s Green Ribbon Month in Ireland. This will be the 9th annual campaign so far. The aim of this month is to raise awareness and get people talking about mental health, in the hopes of ending the stigma and discrimination that surrounds it. According to the See Change website, green ribbons show “you are committed to influencing positive change” around this matter.

You can pick up a green ribbon in any Boots or Eir store, Iarnr√≥d √Čireann or AIB branches. You can also order them off the See Change website.

This year’s campaign theme is inclusion, and each week of September will deal with a different strain of this theme. You can read more about how to be an ally on the See Change Ireland website.

If you’re struggling at the moment, here’s a list of phone numbers and resources that can help.
