If you or anyone you know might be interested, then head right this way!

The first season of DIY SOS was a huge hit with viewers, with episodes striking a chord with people across the country, as the show had a huge impact on those who credited it with reminding them of “what’s important in life”.

Forced to cut filming short due to Covid-19 restrictions, host Baz Ashmawy was only able to help out three different families in season one, and he sent out a very emotional message as the final episode of the first season aired.

However, things are already in motion for the second season, as the producers behind the show have officially opened applications, telling us the following:

“DIY SOS The Big Build Ireland is now casting for Series 2 and are looking for families from all over Ireland to apply. Does someone you know need major structural changes to their home? Have they had their world turned upside down by a tragic accident or illness? Is the family home no longer suited to their needs? Well this could be the answer to all your prayers.”

Speaking about the programme, Baz himself said “This is one of those shows that just uses TV to its best advantages. I got such a buzz doing it and I think it really brought out the best in people. It was something that reflected the best in Irish people, working as a community to help others.”

So if you think that you or someone you know deserves to be helped by the DIY SOS team please go to right here and fill out the application form, or you alternatively you can contact [email protected] for more information.
