If you’re a fan of the black shtuff and are fond of a bit of jazz music, you’ll want to make a trip to Cork next month.
Why?
Well, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is taking place from the weekend of October 27 – 30.
The popular music and drink festival is now celebrating its 40th year and they have just announced a stellar line up of hot musicians including our very own Imelda May.
The Johnny’s Got A Boom Boom singer will be joined alongside other major jazz acts including 3 time Grammy award winner, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kenny Garrett, James Morrison and many more.
The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival sees more than 40,000 people gather in the city to celebrate the world of jazz. What started as a group of locals gathering for the love of music has now become one of the most high-profile jazz events in Europe.
Music fans from across the globe even travel to our emerald isle for the October Bank Holiday event.
Not only are there ticketed gigs but there will be on-street entertainment and over 70 venues including pubs, hotels, restaurants and clubs taking part.
There is even a street parade on the Saturday which even has its very own dedicated jazz bus.
We need to see this.
