Cork County Council to install 16 portaloos in time for the Bank Holiday weekend

Cork County Council will install 16 portaloos on beaches ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Following on from the news that 150 portaloos will be installed in Dublin, Cork has followed suit by installing 16 portaloos at Crosshaven, Myrtleville, Church Bay, Fountainstown, Roberts Cove, Kilnagleary and Roberts Bridge and at the People's Park in Carrigaline ahead of the Bank Holidauy weekend.

In recent weeks, there had been calls for additional toilets and bins to be placed in Ireland's city's as people continue to gather for what has been described as an "outdoor summer."

The public toilets will in place in Cork for the duration of the summer.
