It’s no secret at this stage, the people of Ireland love an auld iced coffee.
But what’s an iced coffee in its fully evolved form? Obviously an affogato. It’s ice cream. It’s coffee. It just makes sense.
If you haven’t had an affogato before, it’s an Italian dessert made up of vanilla ice cream or gelato with espresso poured on top. Bad Habits in Naas have launched their version as part of their summer menu and not to be dramatic or anything, but it’s nearly moved me to tears.

What you see here is the vegan version, and it still looks like a creamy, indulgent dream. And with the bitta crunch from the pistachios and cocoa nibs? Perfection.
