Not many youngsters these days will have heard the names Doug Kenney or Henry Beard before but if you’re into comedy movies, chances are you’ll have seen their influence right up to this day.
The American pair co-founded controversial magazine National Lampoon in 1969, and its success led to the series of iconic comedy movies movies such as Animal House, Class Reunion and Christmas Vacation.
Now, like anyone from the old days who has had any kind of cultural impact, the lads are getting a movie made about them and it stars one of our very own Irish actors, but not as we’ve seen him before.
Can you figure out who it is from the image below? He’s the one on the right…
That’s right. It’s our very own Colin Farrell.
Lol, joke, of course it’s Domhnall Gleeson and he’s ditched his fiery Irish roots for a darker look in his role of the aforementioned Beard in new Netflix movie A Futile And Stupid Gesture. The eldest son of Brendan stars alongside comedian Will Forte who plays Kenney.
The flick is released on January 26 and you can check out the full rib-tickling trailer below.
