‘Friends’ Creator Reveals What Really Happened To The Characters After The Final Episode

Darragh Berry

You can’t turn on a television or open a laptop/phone and look for something to watch without stumbling across Friends.

It’s on Comedy Central for what seems to be 34 hours every day and if that’s not enough for you, you can find the whole box-set on Netflix.

But, we’re not complaining. We love Friends, it’s an easy watch when you’re hanging on the couch but it will still suck you in with the funny one-liners and the whole ‘will-they-won’t-they’ saga between Ross and Rachel.

And, as much as we would love to see a reboot with the six sitting in the coffee house once again, it’s never going to happen.

But, there’s a really good reason that we’re not getting a revival of the television show and that is because, everyone got their happily-ever-after finish.

“Never happening. Never.,” said Friends co-creator David Crane told The Wrap when asked the umpteenth time about a revival.

“We did it! It’s done. That’s why you don’t want to see more of it, because it’s all a happy ending.”

On again, off again Ross and Rachel was a huge factor in what made Friends so successful and if you’re worried that her getting off the plane wasn’t enough of a romantic ending to keep the two together, you can rest easy at night because they are still together in 2018.

“Yes. Come on, they worked really hard, 10 years [and] Chandler and Monica are still happy as well.”

But what about Mike and Phoebe? And did Joey ever find love? Come on Crane, we think you either answer more questions or you get working on that revival.
