George Clooney revealed he spent his Easter travelling around Ireland, making a stop at Bono’s house and visiting his distant relatives in Co. Laois.

The actor, his wife Amal and their one-year-old-twins Ella and Alexander caught up with their relatives at the 5-star Ballyfin House.

During his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he said, “We planned it out in a hotel. We walked into this castle and I thought, ‘The Clooneys are doing okay here.’

“We spent the afternoon trying to understand what they were saying.”

And while he found the meeting a little bit strange since they were only distant relatives and didn’t know each other well, they all enjoyed catching up.

He explained, “I also have to say that there is this other part of you which you sort of do feel this weird connection to.”

“You can see some resemblance in the eyes and things like that.”

The actor also described how they spent Easter Sunday at Bono’s house in Killiney and they had “a beautiful day”.

George revealed, “We travelled with a whole crew and then we went to Bono’s house for Easter, as you do. We try to only do Easter with rock stars.”

He added, “It was a beautiful day. Ireland is spectacular.”
