Disney+ Irish launch date

Disney fans rejoice.

Earlier this year it was announced that Disney+, the Disney equivalent to Netflix, would soon be hitting Irish shores.

Hinting at a launch sometime in March, Irish fans were left without an exact date…until now that is – as it has just been announced that the service will launch in Ireland on March 24th.

And it will cost you just under €7 a month or €70 for an annual subscription.

Featuring a whole range of different movies, it will also have the highly anticipated sequel to Hocus Pocus and a reboot of The Mighty Ducks. Along with just about every other movie, TV show and cartoon Disney has ever made.

According to the Disney website:

“Disney+ offers fans of all ages a new way to experience the unparalleled content from the company’s iconic entertainment brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, as well as exclusive original programming including feature-length films, series, documentaries, and short-form content made exclusively for the service.”

Subscribers will have access to the critically acclaimed The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Lady and the Tramp to name a few others.

Users can enjoy the service on nearly all major mobile and connected TV devices including gaming consoles, media streaming players and smart TVs.

If you happen to have three hours to spare, give this video a watch as it goes through the full line-up.

We can’t bloody wait.
