You know the phrase ‘he’d forget his head if it wasn’t screwed on’, well that definitely applies to these bunch of hurlers in Laois.
Ballypickas GAA shared this picture from their Junior C hurling WhatsApp group and it’s the definition of playing at this grade.
They have a match on Wednesday night against Rosenallis and however prepared they may be training wise, when it comes to equipment wised, they’re fecked.
As you can see our Junior C team is well prepared for their match against @GaaRosenallis tonight ???? @LaoisToday @ballsdotie @JOEdotie pic.twitter.com/TAecCVNC4z

Surely when the word ‘hurling’ enters into someone’s head, the first thing they think about is, hurl – check, helmet – check.
Poor Mick and Tom are at sixes and sevens trying to pluck the courage to ask for some spare gear but in fairness to them, at least they asked ahead of time and not at 6pm, an hour before throw-in.
As for poor old Roghan, all he wants is a “cure for obesity.”
Junior GAA, never change.
