Did you know that Irish actors are maaaad for the oul music vid?

With all the exciting news the past few days of different Irish celebs rumoured to feature in Ed Sheeran's 'Galway Girl' video (Saoirse Ronan and Tommy Tiernan are both tipped to star), we remember some of the other times that our homegrown heroes made a musical cameo.

Busy little bees, they are.

1. Eve Hewson: For The First Time - The Script

In one of her first big roles, Bono's daughter played the part of a young gal who moves to America - cue Dublin homesickness and scenic NYC shots.

2. Liam Cunningham: High Hopes - Kodaline

Did you spot the Game of Thrones star in this? Cunningham’s character is prevented from killing himself in his car by a runaway bride. V dramatic.

3. Aidan Gillen: Cameo - Mick Flannery

Another GOT actor clearly has a soft spot for the music of Cork musican Mick Flannery. This eerie video is well worth the watch.

4. Domhnall (and Brian) Gleeson: 2025 - Squarehead

The famous acting bros starred in this video in aid of charity, which shows the two boys discovering childhood footage of their antics and recreating them.

5. Saoirse Ronan: Cherry Wine - Hozier

Ok, you've probably seen this one, but Saoirse's highlighting of domestic abuse is too important not to include. 'Galway Girl' isn't her first music vid rodeo yknow...

6. Cillian Murphy: Meetings Of The Waters - Fionn Regan

Everyone's fave recently acted in this acclaimed folk song, and sees Cillian take a spooky nighttime drive through the countryside. Those. Eyes. <3

Pretty impressive stuff eh? Sure we're an country with a love for the tunes after all.
