A New Spice Girls Film Is Officially Happening

It turns out the Spice Girls are working on a lot more than their hugely anticipated reunion tour at the moment.

The band’s manager Simon Fuller revealed that they are in fact working on a new animated film as well as gearing up for their UK and Ireland tour later this year.

Speaking to Billboard, Fuller said, “What’s coming next is that we are going to be doing lots of exciting things. We’ll be making an animated movie and there’s lots of exciting plans to come.”

He added, “The last tour we did seven or eight years ago the demand was equal, if not maybe even more. It’s a global phenomenon. They’re more timely now than ever and it’s fantastic.”

The Spice Girls have a busy year ahead of them – they’ll be reuniting on stage for the first time since 2012 this summer, but sadly, minus Victoria Beckham.

They’re kicking off their 2019 stadium tour in Croke Park, Dublin on Friday, May 24, followed by sold-out shows in Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London.

The band’s manager didn’t reveal any other details about what we can expect from the film just yet but no doubt it’ll be a huge hit.
