Bachelors Walk is just one of a number of shows that RTE has confirmed will be returning to TV screens during this period of social isolation.

Last week, RTE announced that hugely popular shows like Bachelors Walk, Love Hate and Pure Mule will be returning to TV to keep the public entertained as we’re advised to stay in our homes. It has now been revealed that the show which launched the career of Simon Delaney and Don Wycherley will be back on the telly from Monday, April 20.

While the current social restrictions are due to last until Easter Sunday, April 12, it’s likely that they will be extended in some shape or form. With that in mind, looking forward to the likes of Bachelors Walk every week is an idea that not many will argue with.

Simon Delaney spoke about the show’s return on Ray D’Arcy’s RTE Radio One show yesterday and when asked the reason for its enduring appeal, he replied “I think it’s that thing of an oul’ walk down memory lane.”

Bachelors Walk starred Delaney, Wycherley and Keith McErlean as a trio of mates living in Dublin and trying to tackle adulthood. It first aired in 2001 before finishing with a Christmas Special which was shown on St. Stephen’s Day in 2006.
