Regular programming has resumed, we’ve all gotten rid of our Italian names on Twitter and are ready to settle back in and watch a bitta good ole fashioned crackin’ on.
Last night started off with the re-coupling, if you haven’t seen the episode yet and don’t want to know who went home, now’s your chance to look away.

Okay. There were a few surprises in the re-coupling to be fair, nothing too outrageous but let’s get into it.
- Jake chose Liberty, delivering the devastating and offensive blow that he thinks she’s “me with a wig on”. Baby… no.
- Brad chose Lucinda (cut to her trying to get away from him while he picks out curtain fabric for their first home)
- Liam chose Millie
- Toby chose Chloe
- Aaron chose Kaz to be in a friendship couple, as he wants to give her the chance to find the one (bit harsh as he’s been spooning Sharon every night, but Kaz is safe and that’s all that matters)
- Hugo chose Sharon (friendship couple no.2)
- Teddy chose Faye
- Rachel was sent packing.
Let me delete my tweets about Aaron. Best guy in the villa #LoveIsland

A tough blow for Rachel, especially after her working overtime offering to pay for dates and quizzing Teddy on whether he’s a generous lover after he’d barely set his bag down.
We then saw the new couples getting cosy, the boys asking did the girls like their speeches etc etc. Basically a lot of loud kissing over an acoustic 4 Non Blondes cover and us fast forwarding any interactions between Chloe and Toby.

Then came the moment we’ve all been dreading. That horrific food challenge that you’d think this year of all years would have been done away with.
Of all the challenges I didn’t expect this one to survive Corona #loveisland

What’s there to say about it really, other than we hope it gets enough Ofcom complaints to be finally done away with. This past year has been hard enough without us having to watch people pass gravy and mash into each others mouths.
Back at the villa we were treated to an inexplicably long period of Millie and Liam screen time, during which she asked what it’ll be like when they moved in together, if he likes her and if she can run him a bath.
Millie: can we have a deep chat?
Liam:

Faye had been giving it her usual “I’m uncomfortable so I’m going to make a joke” banter with Teddy (we all relate, my girl), and later revealed to the gals that she doesn’t show the real side to her because she’s worried about being hurt. I don’t want to speak too soon but I feel her and Teddy are well matched? He seems confident and patient enough, and isn’t as desperate for any opportunity to jump ship as some of the other boys. With that said though, you never know what’s around the corner.

For now though all looks rosy enough, and he and Faye shared a lil kiss on the terrace to close out the night.

To the joy of many, the public vote has opened, with the instructions to vote for the couple you think are the least compatible to go home. You’d have to assume that no one will actually go off compatibility and we’ll see the likes of Brad and Lucinda or Chloe and Toby go home, and we’ll all breathe a sigh of relief. Anything to break up the dreaded ~naughty trio~ tbh.
