There’s an iconic guest on Blindboy’s podcast this week

Fiona Frawley

You won’t want to miss this one.

The early to mid noughties in Ireland were mostly taken over with Robert Sheehan hysteria. It can’t have just been me. That’s what I tell myself anyway. Teenagers fell in love with him as Nathan in Misfits, then he truly became a household name (and surely contributed to a rise in the sale of blue hoodies) when he played Darren in Love Hate.

During the summer he released his own book Disappearing Act, a collection of short other stories. What other Irish man do we know with an iconic collection of short stories?

That’s right class, Blindboy. Blindboy’s beloved podcast originated with him reading his short stories and having a casual chat while he was at it. It’s grown to become one of the most popular Irish podcasts ever, with Blindboy applauded for his frank and accessible discussions around mental health. And now, two of our obsessions have become one. Blindboy’s latest podcast features Robert Sheehan as a guest, and they can be heard discussing “Nicholas Cage vomiting up a communion wafer in front of Eddie Van Halen”. Sure what else would they be talking about, in fairness.–p/

One to queue up for your morning commute, your lunchtime walk or to pop into the headphones so no one speaks to you at work. Essential.
