In a sad turn of events, everyone’s favourite Cavan twins won’t be appearing in the newest series of Gogglebox.
Identical twins Fergal and Neal Tully have been on the show since it began back in 2016 and were well loved for their hot takes and snazzy sock collections. In an announcement on Twitter, Fergal confirmed the dynamic duo would not be returning this season, writing: “It’s with a heavy heart to announce that myself and Neal will not be on gogglebox in the near future”. Known for his quintessentially rural Irish wit, he added: “I could not bring myself to watch tonight as it’s like watching your ex shifting your best buddy in the local night club”. Sure haven’t we all been there?
It's with a heavy heart to announce that myself and Neal will not be on gogglebox in the near future. I could not bring myself to watch tonight as it's like watching your ex shifting your best buddy in the local nightclub. #seeyalater #GoggleboxIRL #tullytwins

Neal also took to Twitter to inform his followers of the news, saying he’d miss the show and parting with the wise words: “if I died tonight the cows will still be milked in the morning”.
It's with a massive heavy heart myself and ferg have decided to give #goggleboxirl a break will miss you all good show as I've said before if I died tonight the cows will still be milked in the morning

One of the best moments ever, showing All-Ireland or similar big game, Artane Band strikes up National Anthem, camera cuts to Cavan to see two pairs of standing legs as ye stood in honour. Cheers lads.

The twins even got a reply from another former Gogglebox star, Declan from the Naughton family in Blessington , letting them know there’s life after the show.
Sorry to hear that Fergal and Neal. You were such stars of the show. I can confirm that there is life after Gogglebox. Best wishes from all the Naughtons in Blessington. #GoggleboxIRL
