‘Gobshite’ has always been a largely Irish term but it’s not unknown for it to be used by our friends across the Irish Sea.
The term just rolls off the tongue and is can be used in equal measure towards our worst enemies, our best mates or even rival football teams.
That appears to be what’s happened on Google Maps today as some prankster, most likely an Everton or Manchester United fan, has fixed it so people are directed to Anfield, the home of Liverpool FC when they type the word ‘gobshites’ into Google Maps.
