Listening to the Irish coast is incredibly soothing and you can do it from the comfort of your own home thanks to this handy little website.
Things seem a little on the grim side at the minute, so you’d definitely be forgiven for wanting to throw your phone in a corner and escape from it all.
Remedies for a bad day are very subjective. Everyone has different opinions on what works and while there’s no ‘one size fits all’ cure – the sea is usually a fairly fool-proof answer.
However, with cases on the rise and the country still operating under level 5 restrictions, venturing out to take in that good coastal air may not be an option for everyone… which is where this handy little website steps in.
A discovery shared with the world (or at least the Twittersphere) by Katherine May, the website is called ‘mynoise.net’ and allows users to listen to the Irish coast regardless of how near or far they are from the real thing.
Generating the sound of the waves lapping against the shore, it’s very user friendly and you can even adjust the toggles to create the conditions that most appeal to you.

Hailing it “the best thing ever”, fellow Twitter users have been thanking Katherine May for the tip – with many adding that it’s “incredibly calming” and just the thing to ease a worried mind.

Whilst you're creating the noise of the Irish coast, nothing else seems to exist. Wonderment on prescription, twice daily. https://t.co/rqi2DjiTiV
