Some of you may not be aware but I’m the furthest from a girly girl. I hate wearing heels, dresses and pink. In fact, fashion has taken a turn away from gender specific clothing. Sports luxe is a common thread in both mens and women’s fashion these days thank god. Nike, Vans and Adidas have all become acceptable shoes to wear when dressing smart or casual. But there’s a new kid on the block, Filling Pieces, an Amsterdam brand established by Guillaume Philibert. I’ve recently acquired their Mid Top Scotch Grain’s in Navy and I’d hate to admit I way prefer them to my collection of Nike high tops. They ain’t cheap ranging from circa €180-250+ but they are high quality and a good pair of kicks really does dress up an outfit. They’ve such a huge, slick range, there’s something for everyone- I’m tipping these guys as the next big brand for footwear.
