Chris O’Dowd is not a fan of the ‘floor is lava’ game

Chris O’Dowd has taken to Twitter to express his feelings on the ‘floor is lava’ game and I think it’s safe to say he’s not a fan.

Isolation is hard enough, add a few restless kiddies to the mix and well, let’s just say you’d be well within your rights to feel overwhelmed. Which is just how Chris O’Dowd has been feeling if his latest tweet is any indication.

Battling the same struggles that parents of young children are faced with on the regular, Chris summed up his frustrations in one simple tweet, writing:

“It was tricky enough being home all the time BEFORE the kids turned the floor into f*cking LAVA.”

I think it’s fair to say he’s not a fan of the game… and though I don’t have kids, I can certainly sympathise – if there’s one thing my previous babysitting jobs have taught me it’s that, fun as it is, the ‘floor is lava’ game always ends in tears. ALWAYS.

Parents have been showing their solidarity in the comments, offering up words of wisdom on how to cope – investing in “lava boots”, or laying down cushions as stepping stones for example. Others pointed Chris in the direction of more adult solutions, with one advising: “whiskey helps”.

Between that and the family dog howling every time The Office comes on the telly, it looks like Chris has his hands full.
