Irish viewers were baffled by one prop visible during the Together At Home concert

James Fenton

Keith Urban was just one of several performers at the One World: Together At Home concert on Saturday but it was he that caught the eye of Irish viewers.

Together At Home was a collaboration between the World Health Organisation and Global Citizen and some of the famous names involved were Ireland’s Hozier and Niall Horan as well as Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and loads more.

Urban’s performance was notable for its slick editing effects, giving the impression that there were three Keith Urbans performing together rather than just one. Trippy, right?

That’s not the only thing that left Irish viewers baffled though as the eagled-eyed among us spotted an interesting looking prop in the backdrop to Keith’s performance, namely an Irish car reg plate with the words ‘FECKIN EEJIT’ written across it…

He clearly picked it up in a gift shop on one of his trips here or it was bestowed upon him by a loved one but it still left a lot of us scratching our heads…

To be fair, the license plate was probably just the third most bizarre aspect to the whole thing, after Urban’s unorthodox visuals and the cameo by his wife Nicole Kidman at the end. If you missed the performance, you can check it out in full below…
